Nicole describes herself as someone who picks herself up, dusts herself off and keeps chugging on with a smile on her dial, with the aim of inspiring people along the way.  She believes her superpower is her intuition.  “My intuition is both a blessing and a curse – often foreseeing things before they happen. Being highly aware is something that’s alway been in me from a very young age.” Read on to learn more about Nicole and her business Nicole Cifelli – Personal Training.

What is your business elevator pitch?

Exercise extends beyond the gym, training session, studio – it includes all facets such as your mental state, nutrition, work satisfaction, personal relationships – all must be addressed and working to your benefit in order to feel good within your skin.

What is your WHY for being in business?

I was living in London for less than 6 months when I had a bad skiing accident on Courchevel, I couldn’t walk for 2 weeks and on crutches for 2 months. I was a dancer and semi-professional netball player when I was younger but hadn’t done anything ’sporty’ for 10 years. The accident made me appreciate able and healthy limbs so I made it my goal to start working my legs and body when I had healed. I was always driving (in a cab) to work as I couldn’t use public transport and everyday I drove past a place called Psycle. At first I thought it was a place that sold bikes so I decided to buy a bike and ride everywhere. This was before I discovered the rate of mortality on London roads was beyond horrific so I googled Psycle and found out what it was. 8 months after my accident I went to my first class and went back again and again. Not only did my physique change but the euphoric feeling, motivation and sense of accomplishment had me going 4, 5 , 6 times per week. I auditioned to be an instructor and got in! I wanted to give others the same feeling as I got when I was in the room, the same feeling that carried me through the day. When I moved back to Perth I decided to become a personal trainer which gave me the platform to influence. I am also a performer at Bike Bar (similar concept to Psycle) and give my riders the same feeling.

Share a unique business challenge you have experienced, and how you overcame this?

Time Management is one area I find challenging as I am constantly on the move from one place to another. Not taking on too much and blocking time has helped me.

What’s got you “edge-of-your-seat” excited in your biz right now?

The possibilities of the fitness world and how it has changed and evolved over the last few years. It’s an exciting time.

What is your favourite biz resource at the moment?

For my business in particular, Instagram is the core medium I use to connect and reach clients. I am a core influencer for a new app called KIXXFIT launching on 8th December which is super exciting! I can’t say too much yet but it’s going to shake up the online fitness and wellness space.
